I’m Tracy Mullins, and I’ve spent over 33 years as a certified EMT First Responder and Security and Safety Specialist. My career began with a simple but powerful desire: to save lives and prevent tragedies before they happen. Working on the front lines as an EMT and later in EMS management, I gained decades of experience in emergency response. I’ve encountered many situations where a bit of preventive action could have made all the difference.
Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats, including that of a Security and Safety Director at a large senior retirement community in Colorado. Overseeing the safety of more than 3,000 residents brought me face to face with the everyday risks that seniors face, particularly falls. These experiences drove home the stark reality that many of these incidents were preventable.
Teaching has also been a significant part of my journey. I’ve conducted classes for thousands of seniors and their families, both in person and on local cable TV, aiming to spread crucial knowledge about fall prevention. Every session has highlighted the urgent need for awareness and action, reinforcing my commitment to this cause.
Having seen firsthand the tragic impact of preventable falls and injuries, my mission evolved into something profoundly personal. My goal is simple yet essential: to help families and seniors take proactive steps to create safer living environments. I’ve dedicated myself to leveraging my expertise to make this mission a reality.
This journey has now led to my current endeavor: SafeElderLiving.com. Now, I focus on empowering families with the insights and strategies needed to make homes a safe haven for their loved ones. Let’s explore how this mission unfolds through practical advice and customized solutions in the next section.
